The book of Joel tells us there are severe consequences for all social injustices and religious wrongdoing. The message of the book is to get people to repent and it’s also the goal of this post. Hopefully, it will motivate you to react and urge you into action.
We need to be passionate in our expressions of sorrow for our sins. Acts 3:19 (WEB) tells us “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.” Repenting is required for a transformation and to find favor with God. Repenting means to acknowledge your sin and apologize for the thought or action that is outside of God’s law and commandments. Once you repent, you are forgiven.
If our world doesn’t start making some changes soon and stop breaking God’s laws and commandments we could face severe and horrible consequences that have the potential to affect many generations.
Do You Want to Experience God’s Wrath?
Do you really want to experience God’s wrath? Have you ever read about the 10 plaques of Egypt or the book of Revelation? That’s not a world that anyone would want to see their children or grandchild grow up in. The plagues in Egypt included water turning into blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and killing of all firstborn children. Not exactly a good way to live.
Most people live for the moment when we are to be living our life on earth with our eyes and hearts focused on heaven. We need to start preparing for our eternity while on earth and not only immediate gratifications. Sin has consequences and leads to death. Choose life with Jesus. It includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Choose Jesus and live in His grace and mercy. Be forgiven, cleansed, and made new. He has the power to help you break any addiction, overcome any circumstances, and give you a sense of contentment you have never known before.
Let’s repent and start making things right with God and live in His favor and blessings.
