Bible Verses for Healing

Speaking God’s word to Him is powerful. Jesus suffered for us so He understands pain and hurt.  We have the promise that when we die not only do we receive eternal life with Jesus but in heaven are health will be restored. We will never feel pain again.  What a glorious promise for those who are dealing with an injury,  illness, or disability. Speak God’s word to refresh your heart and soul. Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide your path and give you the strength to carry on. Fill your mind with the positive miracles Jesus performed. He is in ultimate control of every cell of your body. Surrender to His will and let every cell and molecule obey God. When you believe in Jesus you will never be without hope.  It’s easy to believe when everything is going right and you are healthy but it’s not when you are in pain and suffering. God never promised life would be easy but He did promise He would never leave or forsake you. Look for the lesson to be learned and use what happened to you to help other people. Consider using your pain to help build God’s Kingdom. Even though you might be suffering right now God always has a good plan for your life. He often uses our worse crisis to transform us. Be patient,  pray, and continue trusting God. One day you will be able to view your life from God’s perspective and see that His timing is always perfect and something good will come from the pain.

psalm 30:2

Job 5:9 (NIV)

He performs WONDERS that cannot be fathomed,

MIRACLES that cannot be counted.

Jesus came to earth to heal those who were brokenhearted, blind, lame, and sick. You can pray and ask Jesus to bless you with His wonders and miracles. We can do this with confident because His scripture tells us so as in these 4 verses displayed in this section. He is the same God today as He was in Biblical Times. A main ingredient in the healing is faith. Many people knew if they just touched Him or His clothing they would be healed. God NEVER changes but He can change you.

faith can move mountains
healed by his wounds

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;  who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.  But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer. Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort. ” 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

This passage highlights the fact that our suffering can be used to help others who are in a similar situation. We have all benefited and received comfort from God and in turn we can offer others the same comfort. It’s so encouraging for someone facing a health problem to meet another person in a similar situation who has gotten better. The support of knowing they truly understand since they went through it themselves give us a positive boost. God is always ready and willing to help us and we should do the same for others.

Suffering teaches lessons that can’t be learned any other way. It even teaches patience.  Look for the blessings in your suffering and keep your focus on God. When we don’t feel good our perception can easily be influenced so be alert to Satan’s attacks. Keep your mind in God’s Word, praise and worship songs, and prayer. This verses also tells us that suffering is for your comfort and salvation. God’s plan is always good even if we lose sight of that while suffering. God always has a good plan and purpose for your suffering. Talk to Jesus about your suffering and experience His compassion. There is nothing like it.
