We Walk by Faith Not by Sight

We use our eyes to see everything around us but faith means doing things that can’t be seen or touched. We have to walk by faith not by sight. We must trust God even when we don’t understand what’s happening. We can have peace in difficult times because through faith we know God is always good and He has a good plan for our lives.

Walking by faith during hard times can be difficult but it’s when we need to have trust and faith in Jesus Christ. He will help us through the pain and heartache and it is possible to have peace during the trials. Jesus promises us in the Bible that He will never leaves or forsake us. During hardships Jesus runs towards us. Jesus is Jehovah Shalom, the Lord of Peace. Walk by faith not by sight and rest in His peace. One of the names of the Holy Spirit is, “The Comforter” so don’t forget to ask Him to comfort you.

What is Faith?

Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.” If we knew all and could see all faith wouldn’t be needed. Faith doesn’t necessarily make things easier but it makes things possible. Trusting in Jesus is the greatest way to navigate life especially during trials.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

“For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory, while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

It’s easy to have faith when everything is going great but not as easy when we face challenges and trials. Faith is showing God we believe in His heart, love, faithfulness, and goodness. God loves it when we have faith in Him! If you feel you are lacking in faith ask God to increase it. Our Christian life isn’t about comfort – it’s about faith in God no matter what happens and surrendering our will to His will.

Keep the faith. Nourish it daily with God’s Word and time with Him in prayer and watch it grow!
